What to send
Send drawings and a STEP file, or photos of an existing tool; the resin family; annual volume and whether this is a new program or a move; and target timing as context. A sketch is enough for a ballpark. A STEP file gets a tighter shop quote. Exact numbers come after the shop sees CAD and does DFM if needed.
Placing the work
Peak matches the program to a US shop we already work with, and adds a shop if the part needs it. We do not name shops. We do not publish a shop map. For cost ranges, read the cost-to-mold guide. Peak can be price-competitive because of the volume it brings to top US shops around the country. We do not publish a volume figure.
Vetting the shop
Peak vets the shop against the part: press, resin, existing tool vs a new mold, and capacity — without a fake rush. The shop that quotes is the shop we are asking to run the work, not a name on a brochure.
Staying on the program
After the PO, Peak stays on the program. A recent US tool quote (October 2025) was about 4–5 weeks for a new mold, then about 1 week of production after sign-off. Production from an existing US tool is about 2 weeks. An overseas tool is freight first — about 60 days by boat, or about 20 days by air. That freight window is transit, not Peak’s process clock. What we will not say
This is not a jobs program. We do not publish 48-hour quotes, overnight tools, or a 14-day intake on a boat. We do not name shops, customers, or a volume figure.
