Piece price is $0.20–$1.50 for most mid-volume commodity parts; about $0.15 only on small, simple, high-cavity work; $2–$6+ on large, engineering-grade, or 1-cavity parts. Aluminum tools are a short-run path (2–3 weeks typical). P20 steel is 4–6 weeks, then about 1–2 weeks to first production.
