New to injection molding, or coming from an overseas supplier that never showed you the work? Here's how a sourcing engagement with Peak actually runs — and what we need from you to start.
A recent US tool quote (October 2025) was about 4–5 weeks for a new mold, then about 1 week of production after sign-off. Production from an existing tool is about 2 weeks. Quote turnaround is the shop's clock — Peak doesn't publish one. Moving an existing tool depends on tool condition and the destination shop's schedule.
Then about 1 week of production after sign-off. Oct 2025 quote — not a Peak guarantee.
Shop schedule. Moving a tool depends on condition and the destination shop.
Send a STEP file, drawings, target volume, and timeline. If you're moving a tool, send the existing tool details.
We route the RFQ to a US shop that fits. Tooling and piece-price come back after that shop quotes — not on a published clock.
Shop engineers mark up the part for moldability — drafts, walls, gates, sinks, shutoffs. Peak coordinates the redline back to you.
Mold layout, cooling, ejection, and runner strategy from the toolmaker. You approve before steel is cut.
A US toolmaker cuts the tool. We track it. Photos at machining, finish, and bench assembly when the toolmaker shares them.
First shots at the production shop, then tuning. You sign off. Then production.
Scheduled runs, reorders, change-orders, and escalations — all through Peak.
Send Peak your part. We'll reply. Tooling and piece-price come back after the shop quotes. If you're moving a tool, we'll ask the destination shop for a window. We will not invent one.
